Day 1
Addis Ababa - Jinka

After breakfast in the morning, you’ll fly from Addis to Jinka. On arrival, you’ll be picked up and driven to the hotel for check in, then begin your tour by visiting the Ari tribe, who live on the top of the mountains. This tribe is different from other Omo Valley tribes because of their lifestyle and clothing. Walk through their villages, experience their daily life, and observe their different activities.
You will observe the whole process of how Ethiopian local food (injera) is made, which is very interesting. You will also see metalwork, blacksmith activities, and different handicrafts unique to this village. After the village tour, drive back to Jinka and visit one of the most unique and informative museums in the city. This museum is very helpful for learning more about the local tribes. After the museum visit, walk around Jinka town. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 2

Jinka - Turmi
Pay an early morning visit to the Mursi tribe, whose women are famous for their lip plates. The Mursi live a nomadic lifestyle, moving from place to place. After visiting this tribe, continue driving to Turmi. On the way, you will visit one of the markets in the Omo Valley called Alduba, which is held once a week.
Upon arrival in Turmi you will check in at the hotel. In the late afternoon, drive to one of the largest villages of the Hamer tribe, who are known as some of the most welcoming and smiling people. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will drive from Turmi to visit the Gnangatom tribe near the South Sudan border. Cross the Omo River via the largest bridge. This tribe has a unique style of dress, featuring colorful necklaces.
In the afternoon, visit the Dassanech tribe near the Kenyan border. Here you will learn about their hunting and farming lifestyle, visit their unique villages, and learn how their houses are constructed. The Dassanech are known for their traditional dancing, which you may have the chance to see.
You will cross the Omo River by local boat canoe and walk to the villages to visit the tribe. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will drive from Turmi to Konso. On the way we will stop at the Key Afer tribal market, the most colorful and largest tribal market in the area. Different tribes gather here, and you have a good chance of observing ceremonies around the market, including a bull-jumping ceremony. After walking through the market, continue driving to Konso.
Konso (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is home to the Konso people and their famous terraces. The Konso Village is fascinating to experience as you drive high into the hills and see their elaborate security structures, wooden constructions, and unique poles. After visiting with the Konso tribe, your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 5
Konso - Arba Minch

Depart from Konso and continue to Arba Minch. Here, you may join an optional boat trip on Lake Chamo (cost not included) to spot large crocodiles, hippos, monkeys, and diverse birdlife on Ethiopia’s second-largest lake. Afterward, travel up to the highlands of Chencha to visit the Dorze people, known for their weaving traditions and distinctive beehive-shaped huts. Explore their homes, learn about their lifestyle, and see how they prepare food using the false banana plant. Return to Arba Minch for a campfire and tribal dance ceremony. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Day 6

Arba Minch - Addis Ababa
After breakfast, you will drive to Arba Minch Airport and fly to Addis Ababa around 10:00 in the morning. Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and driven to one of the largest open markets in Africa, called Merkato. Walk around the market for shopping and to observe the daily life around you. If you wish to buy Ethiopian coffee after your trip to the market, you will have time to visit a special place for this. This will conclude your tour.
