3-Day Tsavo East and West Safari

Mombasa to Tsavo East

You will be picked up in Mombasa by your safari guide. Depart via the Mombasa–Nairobi highway, passing through semi-arid countryside. You will arrive at Tsavo East National Park via Buchuma Gate and begin your first game drive en route to the lodge. Spot wildlife such as red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and antelopes.

By 12:30 PM, check in at your lodge or tent camp. Lunch will be served at the lodge, and you will have time to relax and enjoy the lodge's amenities. At 4:00 PM, you will go on an afternoon game drive and visit Aruba Dam, a popular waterhole. Explore predator hot spots and open savannahs. By 6:30 PM, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tsavo East to Tsavo West

This morning you will enjoy an early morning game drive in the park before breakfast. Return to the lodge for breakfast then leave for your next destination - Tsavo West National Park. Arrive at west on time for check-in and lunch.

After lunch head out for a game drive chancing to see what you didn’t see while in Tsavo East. We will also make a special stopover at the Mzima Springs; a favorite hunt for crocodiles and hippos, from an underwater tank; it is sometimes possible to spot hippos along the floor of these crystal springs. As the sun starts going down return to the lodge for rest, dinner and overnight.

Tsavo West to Mombasa

6:00 AM – Early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards. Enjoy the sunrise over the savannah.
8:30 AM – Return to the lodge for breakfast.
10:00 AM – Check out and begin your return journey to Mombasa.
1:30 PM – Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (optional).
5:30 PM – You will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred point.
