Day 2

Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After having your breakfast, head out for a game drive. This is an ideal time to begin your safari, since most animals are active in the early morning. The carnivores are usually hunting around this time, and the other animals are on guard—extremely alert so as not to become prey! If you are lucky, you will definitely be a part of this exciting action! Expect to encounter African elephants, Cape buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, hyenas, leopards, giant forest hogs, Uganda kobs, and lots of Savannah birds on this game drive.

After two to three hours in the park, you will return to the lodge and have breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing by the swimming pool until lunch. After lunch, you will take a 2:00pm boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel to spot a lot of hippos and birds. Retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
