Welcome to Uganda. You will be received by a Likyadi Adventures guide upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, and you will transfer to the hotel for relaxing. Depending on your time of arrival, you will have lunch before transferring to the hotel. You will then check in at the hotel and relax, preparing for the safari adventure that awaits in both Uganda and Rwanda.

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale National Park with an Afternoon Swamp Walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by a Likyadi Adventures guide who will brief you about the safari. You will start your journey to Kibale National Park in Kabarole district through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort Portal town. While in Fort portal you will have an en-route lunch before proceeding to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will then embark on a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands. You have a chance to spot 138 bird species. You will also visit the communities in Kibale National Park, where you will learn how coffee is produced locally, ready for consumption. You will then visit Rest In Bananas, where you will see how the Banana Man makes different products from bananas. After this experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then report at the park headquarters at Kanyanchu at 7:30 am for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the chimpanzees. You will then embark on a trek in search of the chimpanzees. Once you have spotted a group, you will spend one hour with them observing their different behaviour. You will also spot other primates in the forest. After the chimpanzee trekking experience, you will be awarded a chimpanzee tracking certificate. Then, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive at the lodge, where you will check in. In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will have a chance to see different animals such as elephants, buffalo, lions, waterbucks, among others. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

You'll have your breakfast very early in the morning and depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6 am in the Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. While in the park, you will look out for wildlife such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, and many others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge and get some rest, relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch, you will go on a 2-hour afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will have a chance to spot elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After your early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the afternoon, where you will have lunch, and thereafter you will check in.
In the evening, you will then embark on a Batwa community experience where you will visit the Batwa people and learn their different ways of living, such as how they used to make fire, how they hunted for their food, among others. After this experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the UWA visitors’ reception, where a briefing is done before tracking at 7:30 am about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to the afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla tracking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during tracking, and these are readily available at the park headquarters. The time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour once you have found them. This is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. You'll return to the lodge after trekking and freshen up. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda through the Cyanika border in Kisoro. You will arrive at the lodge in Volcanoes National Park, where you will have lunch and thereafter check into the lodge. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, which is an educational center that honours Dian Fossey's legacy and its mission to save gorillas from extinction. At this campus, you will see different art exhibits showing gorilla conservation over the years, among others. After, you will visit the Gorilla Guardians Village, which gives you a rare chance to meet local people in their indigenous environment. This village will give an insight into the everyday lives of the village communities in ancient Rwanda. After these experiences, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After your early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the Volcanoes National Park for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the golden monkeys. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water. The golden monkey tracking experience may take 3 to 4 hours, depending on where the golden monkeys are in the forest. Once you have spotted them, you will spend one hour with them, where you will be able to ask as many questions as you want about their behaviour and also take as many pictures as you want.
After the golden monkey trekking experience, you will transfer to Kigali. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After your early morning breakfast, you will head out for a Kigali city tour. During this city tour, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn about the stories of the 1994 Genocide. You will also visit the local handicrafts market, and you will learn about their way of life. Afterward, you'll have lunch and then transfer to Kigali International Airport. Do not forget to purchase a souvenir for yourself as a remembrance of this wonderful trip.
