Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari begins with a pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport, followed by a drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley towards the Masai Mara. The journey offers views of rolling farmlands, escarpments, and traditional homesteads as you approach one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves. You arrive at your mid-range lodge or camp in time for lunch and some relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you head out for your first game drive inside the reserve, giving you a taste of the Mara’s wildlife-rich plains and the chance to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and many more. You return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara

After breakfast, you depart for a full day of exploration in the Masai Mara, carrying a packed lunch for an extended game drive across the vast savannah. Your guide will take you through prime wildlife areas where predators and herbivores converge, offering exceptional opportunities to witness natural behaviors and breathtaking sightings. You may visit the Mara River—famous for the dramatic Great Migration crossings during certain months—or explore quieter corners of the reserve rich in birdlife and scattered wildlife. Late in the afternoon, you return to your lodge or camp to enjoy dinner and a relaxed evening.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

You arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you are dropped at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 3-day mid-range Maasai Mara adventure.
