Arrival at Arusha Airport (ARK) and Transfer to Ndutu for Game Drive

Upon arrival at Arusha Airport (ARK), your Italian-speaking safari guide will warmly welcome your family and give you a short briefing about the safari. You will then begin your scenic drive toward the Ndutu area in the Southern Serengeti ecosystem. Ndutu is known for its open plains, acacia woodlands, and seasonal lakes that attract a wide variety of wildlife. Upon arrival, you will proceed directly into an afternoon game drive where you may encounter lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and many other species that roam freely through this beautiful landscape. Later in the evening, you will check into your mid-range lodge in Ndutu for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu

This day is dedicated entirely to exploring the Ndutu region. After breakfast, you will head out for a full-day game drive, spending your day moving between the woodland areas, open plains, and lake shores where wildlife is most active. Ndutu is one of the best places for viewing predators, especially during the calving season when thousands of wildebeests give birth, attracting big cats such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Your guide will take you to the most rewarding wildlife spots and share insights about animal behavior and the ecosystem. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to the lodge, depending on your preference. The day ends back at your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful Ndutu sunset.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Departure to JRO

Early in the morning, you will depart Ndutu and drive toward the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After reaching the crater rim, you will descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a half-day game drive. The crater is one of the few places in Africa where you have an excellent chance of seeing all Big Five in one location, including the rare black rhino. As you explore the crater, you will encounter lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, flamingos, and many other species thriving in this unique environment. After enjoying your picnic lunch by the hippo pool, you will begin your journey toward Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable safari with Nano Africa Safaris.
