1-Day Golden Monkey Trekking Tour

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Today early morning, your safari driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali at about 4:30 AM and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park for your Golden Monkey trekking experience. The drive takes around 2.5 hours through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside.

Upon arrival at the park, you will proceed to the Park Headquarters for registration and a briefing from the guides. Afterward, you will begin your trek into the bamboo forests at the base of the Virunga Volcanoes in search of the endangered Golden Monkeys, known for their vibrant golden fur and playful behavior. On meeting them, you will spend one full hour observing and photographing these lively primates as they leap through the bamboo, feed, and interact in their natural habitat.

After the trek, with lunch at your own cost in a local restaurant starting your journey back to Kigali. You will arrive in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your accommodation or at the airport for your departure flight.
