Arrival at Safari Tented Rooms near Kruger National Park

Your 5-Day Kruger Budget Tented Safari departs daily from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport. You need to be at the OR Tambo bus terminal by 6:45 AM, with departure promptly at 7:00 AM.

You'll be travelling East, enjoying scenic views of rolling farmlands and beautiful landscapes en route to our lodge near Kruger National Park. We’ll be making one or two comfortable spots along the way, perfect time to stretch your legs and buy snacks/ refreshments before journeying forward. Your estimated time of arrival (ETA) in Hazyview is around 1 PM.

Once you arrive, check in to the Safari Tented Rooms at the lodge and take some time to freshen up and relax. At approximately 3 PM, hop on to an open-sided land cruiser for a thrilling 2 to 2.5 hour guided game drive through Kruger National Park.

After your exciting safari game drive, head back to the tented rooms to unwind with a refreshing drink and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

Enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay in your tented room.

Full Day Game Drive in Kruger National Park

Start your morning with a warm cup of coffee or tea accompanied with rusks before setting out on a full-day game drive in the Skukuza area of Kruger National Park. A packed breakfast is included for your convenience. The game drives take place in specially modified, 9-seater, open-sided land cruisers designed for optimal wildlife viewing and photography.

After your packed breakfast the game drive continues until lunchtime. Lunch will be enjoyed at one of the park’s restaurants, at your own expense. After a 45-minute lunch break, we embark on an afternoon safari, further exploring the Kruger's diverse wildlife.

Throughout the day, you’ll have ample opportunities to see and photograph a wide variety of wildlife. At the end of the day’s adventure, you’ll return to your tented room where you can unwind before enjoying a delicious dinner at the lodge.

Panorama Route

Today you depart on your adventure on the Panorama Route, revealing one breathtaking view after another. After a delicious breakfast to fuel your day, get ready for an eight-hour journey through some of South Africa's most incredible landscapes.
Various scenic stops will be made along the Panorama Route, first you'll step into a view that stretches on forever at God's Window. You'll then get to explore other epic sights like The Pinnacle and the unique, water-carved rock formations at Bourke's Luck Potholes. Prepare to be completely captivated by the majestic Blyde River Canyon, with its towering cliffs and the stunning Three Rondavels. You’ll also take in another incredible sight at Wonderview.

At least one of the following waterfalls can be seen depending on the time of year and the rainfall: Lisbon Falls, Lone Creek Falls or Mac-Mac Falls.

Lunch will be available for you to buy along the route at your own expense.

Full Day Game Drive in Kruger National Park

Kick off your day with a hot cup of coffee or tea and a quick bite before heading out on another full-day safari. You'll climb aboard a specially modified, 9-seater, open-sided land cruiser and dive deep into the world-famous Skukuza area of the Kruger National Park.

This safari journey is all about finding the Kruger National Park's amazing wildlife, from the famous Big Five to countless other animals. The elevated position of the 4x4 open-sided vehicle provides excellent vantage points and great photography opportunities. After our sunrise game drive, we will pause for breakfast. In addition to the packed breakfast provided, you can also purchase additional food items at the shop in Kruger Park.

After a day packed with thrilling sightings and great photo opportunities, you’ll return to your safari tented room where you can unwind before enjoying a delicious dinner.
