Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by our company representatives and briefed on your upcoming safari. You will then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve via the Nairobi–Narok road. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a photo session. The valley is a fault line some 3,500 miles (5,600 km) long, stretching from Ethiopia to the Red Sea through Kenya.

Enjoy the drive through typical African savanna country, dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. You will arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch, followed by some time to relax before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. You will see buffaloes, lions, rhinos, cheetahs, zebras, topi, elands, giraffes, and many more. Later you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

As you eat breakfast today, the cool, fresh air will fill your lungs, leaving you invigorated, rejuvenated, and ready to explore Kenya’s flagship park. You will roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop-up roof hatch to enjoy the unhindered 360-degree view and the possibilities of what lies ahead.

The Masai Mara is one of the lushest reserves in Africa and is globally renowned for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats, thanks to its relatively large populations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You will also see many elephants, Masai giraffes, common zebras, impalas, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, topi, hartebeests, black-backed jackals, spotted hyenas, and more.

You will return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out and prepare for the drive back to Kenya’s buzzing capital, ending what we hope will be the safari of your lifetime. Lunch on this day will be at your own expense. Later, you will be dropped at the airport in time for your flight, at least three hours before departure.
