Game Drive in Tarangire – Overnight in Karatu

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 to 3 hours by road).

Afternoon:
Arrive in Tarangire and begin your game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants and its unique baobab trees. You will likely see many elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of birds.
Stop for a picnic lunch in the park or enjoy lunch at a lodge within the park. Transfer to small Town Karatu about 1:30 hrs drive.

Evening:
After transfer-drive, check in to your lodge or camp for dinner. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere your beautiful, crafted room in Karatu. Overnight stay in Karatu.

Safari to Ngorongoro Crater

Morning
After an early breakfast, check out and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 1:30 hours by road).
Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most biodiverse places on Earth and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The crater floor is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards
Your game drive in the crater will take you through diverse landscapes, including Lake Magadi, which often hosts flamingos and other bird species

Afternoon
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater or at a designated picnic spot near the crater rim.
Continue your game drive after lunch, exploring more of the crater floor to spot additional wildlife.

Late Afternoon
After ascending from the crater, drive to Karatu (approximately 30 minutes). Karatu is a town on the crater’s edge, often used as a base for visitors going to Ngorongoro

Evening
Enjoy dinner at your lodge and relax after an exciting day of game drives
Overnight stay in Karatu.
