In the morning you will begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are a notable feature of the park. Wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River, the only permanent water source in the area. The park supports a wide diversity of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will have a full day to further explore Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is surprisingly large, with a remarkable diversity of landscapes and vegetation. Many visitors are impressed by its natural beauty. Spend the day discovering peaceful wildlife areas that our guides are experts on. You will end the day with an evening game drive and your overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park

Today you will journey into the heart of the wonderous Ngorongoro Crater and spend the half the day on the crater floor. Ngorongoro is unique in that most wildlife lives within the crater walls, making game viewing more accessible. Rhinos are regularly seen, along with lion prides.

After lunch, continue to one of Africa’s most famous game parks, the Serengeti. This area is home to millions of wildebeest during the Great Migration, and across the vast open plains you are likely to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and other predators. The afternoon will be spent on a game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Today you have a full day to explore the Serengeti, including traveling toward the Northern Serengeti. Your guide will select the best wildlife viewing locations for the season. From the month of October, the Northern Serengeti is often home to the famous Great Migration. If conditions are right and timing allows, you may be fortunate to witness a river crossing into Kenya, a truly spectacular sight.

In the morning you will journey to Lake Natron. Take a few hours to rest at the campsite before beginning the nighttime climb of the volcano. The ascent starts around midnight, allowing you to reach the summit by sunrise. This is a challenging climb, but it offers highly rewarding views from the top. Today’s drive includes some en-route game viewing.

In the morning you will drive to a Maasai-owned lodge in West Kilimanjaro, situated on a hill with spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and Longido. After the long journey, relax and enjoy the lodge’s facilities, including the pool. In the evening, enjoy a sundowner while taking part in a spear-throwing activity with some of the Maasai warriors.
