Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. After check-in, take time to relax and unwind after your arrival while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of northern Tanzania. If time allows, enjoy a brief orientation around the lodge or Arusha town. A comprehensive safari briefing will follow, covering the itinerary, wildlife expectations, and safety guidelines. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable lodge or hotel, resting well before your safari adventure begins the next day.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its dramatic landscapes, giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive through open savannah, acacia woodland and riverine areas along the Tarangire River, which attracts abundant wildlife year-round. Spot lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and a wide variety of bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge or tented camp near Tarangire for dinner and overnight.

Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet incredibly diverse park nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through lush groundwater forests, open grasslands and lakeshore wetlands. Look for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants and buffalo. The alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos, pelicans and other water birds, creating spectacular scenery. Enjoy lunch before continuing your exploration of the park. Later, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight, surrounded by beautiful views of the Rift Valley landscape.

After breakfast, begin your journey to the Central Serengeti, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands and Maasai villages. As you enter Serengeti National Park, enjoy game viewing en route across the endless plains. The Central Serengeti is rich in wildlife year-round and famous for its large predator population. Enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and large herds of grazers. The dramatic kopjes and sweeping grasslands offer unforgettable scenery. Dinner and overnight at a luxury lodge or tented camp in Central Serengeti.

The Serengeti’s changing light, open horizons and abundant wildlife create excellent photographic opportunities throughout the day. Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife areas. The crater floor is home to the Big Five, including black rhinos, lions, buffalo and elephants, as well as hippos, hyenas and large flocks of flamingos around the soda lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your game drive. Later, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

This guided hike offers insight into local traditions, plants and wildlife. After the excursion, return to your lodge for lunch before continuing your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable Tanzania safari and cultural adventure.
