Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. After check-in, take time to relax and unwind after your arrival while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of northern Tanzania. If time allows, enjoy a brief orientation around the lodge or Arusha town. A comprehensive safari briefing will follow, covering the itinerary, wildlife expectations, and safety guidelines. Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its dramatic landscapes, giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive through open savannah, acacia woodland and riverine areas along the Tarangire River, which attracts abundant wildlife year-round. Spot lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and a wide variety of bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari. Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet incredibly diverse park nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through lush groundwater forests, open grasslands and lakeshore wetlands. Look for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants and buffalo. The alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos, pelicans and other water birds, creating spectacular scenery. Enjoy lunch before continuing your exploration of the park. After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife areas. The crater floor is home to the Big Five, including black rhinos, lions, buffalo and elephants, as well as hippos, hyenas and large flocks of flamingos around the soda lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your game drive. Later, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
