You will be warmly welcomed at the airport or hotel by your private guide. After a short briefing, step into your private Land Cruiser and head through the Great Rift Valley as you make your way to the world-famous Masai Mara.
Before checking into your lodge or camp, visit a traditional Maasai village (Manyatta). This cultural experience offers a glimpse into the rich traditions, dress, and daily life of the Maasai people. Witness traditional dances, learn about their customs, and explore their hand-built homes. It’s a fascinating introduction to the land you’re about to explore.

Day 2

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

Rise early and enjoy a coffee before heading straight into the Masai Mara National Reserve for a morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. After some time exploring the park, stop at a scenic bush location where breakfast is beautifully set up, with views of the surrounding savannah and wildlife such as hippos along the river.

Continue the game drive through the reserve, taking in the incredible landscapes and abundant wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, leopards, and cheetahs. Later in the day, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, head back out for another game drive, offering a different perspective of the Masai Mara as the light softens and animals begin to stir again.

Second Full Day in Masai Mara

Your second day in the Masai Mara gives you another chance to explore new areas of the reserve and deepen your wildlife sightings. Head out at dawn for optimal viewing and follow fresh tracks with your guide, possibly catching dramatic predator-prey interactions in the golden morning light.

After lunch back at the lodge or as a picnic, spend your afternoon in the reserve’s quieter corners. As the day cools, animals begin to stir again. Stay out late for a stunning sunset drive, watching the skies blaze over the Mara horizon — a magical finale to your time in the reserve.

Lake Nakuru – Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and enjoy a scenic drive north toward Lake Nakuru National Park. You’ll pass through small towns and beautiful highland landscapes as you make your way into the Great Rift Valley once again.
Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the late afternoon and head straight into the park for an afternnon game drive. Known for its flamingos, endangered white rhinos, and tree-climbing lions, Nakuru offers a very different safari environment. Watch the sun set over the lake before checking into your lodge for the night.

Wake up early for a morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, a beautiful reserve known for its diverse wildlife and shimmering alkaline lake. Keep your eyes peeled for white and black rhinos grazing on the open plains, Rothschild’s giraffes silhouetted against the acacia trees, and an impressive array of birdlife — from pelicans to the famous flamingos that paint the lake’s edge pink when water levels are right.
After, we head north through the heart of Kenya’s highlands, offering glimpses of rural life and Mount Kenya in the distance. Arrive in Laikipia by late afternoon, where you can unwind at your camp or lodge and enjoy sundowners overlooking the vast, untamed landscape that will be your playground for the next day.

Black Leopard Expedition in Laikipia

Today is dedicated to exploring Laikipia, one of Kenya’s most exclusive and ecologically rich wilderness areas. After an early breakfast, head out on a full-day game drive across rolling hills, river valleys, and acacia-dotted plains in search of Africa’s rarest cat — Giza, the legendary black leopard of Laikipia. Your guide will share stories of her sightings and insights into the region’s pioneering conservation efforts that protect both wildlife and the local communities who live alongside it.
Between sightings, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush surrounded by nature’s quiet rhythm. As the afternoon unfolds, continue your exploration, with chances to encounter elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, and Grevy’s zebras — species found only in this part of Africa.

Morning Giza & Moran Warrior & Night Game Drive

Begin the morning with another drive into Laikipia’s wilderness in search of Giza, the elusive black leopard. As you explore, keep an eye out for hyenas, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and the many other species that thrive in this pristine landscape. After the search, enjoy a bush breakfast before heading back to the lodge for a short rest.
Late morning you’ll meet the Moran warriors — young men in their traditional warrior stage, known for their disciplined lifestyle and diet of blood, meat, and milk during initiation. They will share insights into their customs, responsibilities, and the significance of this rite of passage.
After returning to the lodge for lunch.
Later, head back out in the for a sunset and night game drive in search of lions and other wildlife — or choose to make one final attempt at spotting the black leopard in the dark.
