Day 1

Our driver-guide will pick you up from Entebbe Airport or your place of residence in Entebbe and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park in the northwestern part of Uganda, a journey taking approximately 5–6 hours by road. The park is known for having the most powerful waterfall in the world.

Along the way you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino walking safari with a ranger guide, followed by lunch, before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you will visit the top of the falls for a remarkable experience. You will then proceed to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park

Wake up early and have breakfast, then set off for a morning game drive in search of wildlife. Expect to view a variety of animals such as leopards, lions, African elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, and others in their natural savannah environment.

You will later return to the lodge for lunch and then head out for a launch trip on the River Nile, where you will view schools of hippos, crocodiles, and different bird species such as Egyptian geese and Goliath herons, among others.

Day 3

Murchison Falls National Park - Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park, which is home to 13 primate species including chimpanzees. The journey passes through the plains of the Albertine region, marked by banana and tea plantations. You will stop over in Fort Portal at Gardens Restaurant for lunch and later proceed to your accommodations.

Day 4

Kibale National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast very early in the morning and head to the Kanyanchu Information Centre for a briefing before starting the chimpanzee trekking activity. The trek takes about 2–6 hours as you observe the daily life of the chimpanzees, from waking up, playing, feeding, and grooming to setting up nests for the night. While in the forest, you may also see other animals such as black-and-white colobus monkeys, baboons, vervet monkeys, and different bird species including the great blue turaco. After this dramatic experience, descend from the forest and have a hot lunch at the lodge. Later, embark on a scenic drive through local homesteads with banana farms and tea plantations, reaching Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the early evening.

Day 5

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas, then proceed to track your allocated gorilla family. Upon meeting them, you will have one hour to interact with the gorillas. While trekking, there are chances of encountering other animals in the forest, including monkeys, baboons, forest elephants, and rich verdant flora. After the successful trek, descend back to your lodge for relaxation.
