Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

Your journey begins with a morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Arusha. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and depart immediately for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. Enjoy a half-day game drive on the crater floor, home to the Big Five—including black rhino, lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo—as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebra, hippo, and diverse birdlife.

A picnic lunch will be served inside the crater. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim and drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at a carefully selected mid-range lodge.

Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Experience – Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi, located in the Great Rift Valley. Here, you will visit the Hadzabe Bushmen, one of Tanzania’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes. Learn about their unique lifestyle, traditional hunting techniques, and survival skills that have remained unchanged for thousands of years.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the Datoga tribe, renowned for their traditional blacksmithing skills, offering deeper insight into the region’s rich cultural heritage.

After the cultural experience, enjoy lunch before driving back to Arusha Airport/Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your memorable safari.
