Your adventure begins early in the morning as you depart Nairobi, heading southwest through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you’ll pass rolling hills, tea plantations, and local villages, with opportunities to stop for photos at scenic viewpoints such as the Rift Valley viewpoint. After a 5–6 hour drive, you’ll arrive at your lodge or camp in the Masai Mara in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive. The Mara is home to a stunning variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes, and your guide will help you spot and photograph them in their natural habitat. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, enjoying the sounds of the African wilderness.

Masai Mara full Exploration

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when the animals are most active. Spend the morning exploring the Mara plains, spotting predators on the hunt and herds of herbivores grazing. Return to your lodge for breakfast and a short rest, then continue with another game drive in the afternoon, perhaps visiting a riverine area or kopjes (rocky outcrops) where lions often lounge. Optional activities include visiting a nearby Maasai village to learn about local culture, traditions, and crafts. As evening falls, enjoy sundowners in the park before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight under the starry African sky.

After an early morning breakfast, you can opt for a final short game drive to catch a glimpse of any wildlife you may have missed, or simply enjoy the morning at leisure at your lodge. Around mid-morning, begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, reflecting on the incredible landscapes and wildlife encounters. Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon, where your safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
