After lunch, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its exceptional biodiversity and dramatic scenery. The park offers outstanding gorilla-sighting opportunities, as it is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Its landscape features dense rainforest, rugged hills, waterfalls, and clear mountain streams, alongside rich ecosystems supporting forest walks, hundreds of bird species, and colorful butterflies. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Gorilla Leisure Lodge, a comfortable mid-range lodge set within this remarkable natural setting.

Begin your day with an early, hearty breakfast before heading to the ranger station by 8:00 am for registration and a detailed briefing ahead of your gorilla trek. Accompanied by expert guides, venture into the dense rainforest of Bwindi in search of mountain gorillas, with trekking times ranging from 30 minutes to several hours depending on their location. Once found, enjoy a rare and moving hour observing these gentle giants, listening to their calls and witnessing the powerful presence of the silverback in its natural habitat. Later, take part in the Batwa Experience, a guided forest walk led by Batwa community members who share their ancient way of life, hunting skills, medicinal plant knowledge, and deep cultural heritage rooted in Bwindi. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Leisure Lodge (Mid-Range).

Day 4

Bid farewell to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and drive to Mgahinga National Park for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. Set against the scenic Virunga Mountains, this trek offers a chance to encounter the endangered golden monkey, famous for its striking orange-gold fur and playful energy. You will observe lively troops that can number up to 30 individuals as they move through the bamboo forest, providing excellent photography opportunities. After the trek, enjoy lunch in Kisoro town before proceeding to the Kyanika border for immigration formalities. Continue onward to Kigali Airport for your departure flight, arriving at approximately 6:00 PM. Estimated drive time of four hours.
