Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This first day is dedicated to relaxation and recovery after your journey. Arusha is the main safari hub of northern Tanzania and offers a peaceful atmosphere with views of Mount Meru and lush surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short orientation walk around the hotel or an optional visit to local markets and cultural centers to experience everyday Tanzanian life. In the evening, your guide will provide a comprehensive safari briefing, explaining the itinerary, park rules, wildlife expectations, and safety procedures. Dinner and overnight will be at a comfortable hotel or lodge in Arusha, allowing you to rest well before the safari adventure begins.

Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant populations. Upon entering the park, begin an extensive game drive through diverse landscapes including savannah, seasonal swamps, and riverine areas. Tarangire is home to lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, leopards, and a wide variety of birdlife. The Tarangire River attracts animals throughout the day, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with afternoon game drives. In the late afternoon, exit Tarangire and drive to Karatu town. Dinner and overnight will be at a comfortable lodge in Karatu, ideally located for the next day’s journey toward the Serengeti.

Day 3

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Karatu and travel toward Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers spectacular scenery, rolling highlands, and opportunities to see Maasai communities with their livestock. After completing park formalities, enter the Serengeti, where endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see. Enjoy a game drive en route to your camp, with chances to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and large herds of grazing animals. Stop for a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park before continuing wildlife viewing throughout the afternoon. As the sun sets, proceed to your lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti. This day is dedicated entirely to exploring Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive, covering different regions of the park to maximize wildlife sightings. The Serengeti is renowned for its rich predator population, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, as well as elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous antelope species. Your experienced guide will interpret animal behavior and track wildlife movements throughout the day. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot lunch, depending on preferences and location. Afternoon game drives continue as temperatures cool and animal activity increases. After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking advantage of the early hours when wildlife is most active and predators often roam the plains. Spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of grazing animals while your expert guide explains animal behavior and the ecosystem. Following the morning drive, depart the Serengeti and begin the scenic journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes you through rolling highlands, dotted with traditional Maasai villages, offering stunning vistas and opportunities for photography. Arrive near the crater rim in the afternoon, where cooler temperatures and panoramic landscapes contrast dramatically with the flat plains of the Serengeti.
