Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari starts with a confirmed pickup from hotels within the city, Kilimani and Westland areas to meet other tourists and be introduced to your driver-guide at the departure point. Depart Nairobi with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to witness the escarpment wall and take great pictures.

Descend the escarpment and drive to Narok Town or to the camp for lunch. The afternoon is scheduled for relaxation. If you are interested, you can take part in the optional activity of visiting the Maasai village (at an extra cost of $20 per person) or continue with the afternoon game drive (at an extra cost). Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Explore Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full-day wildlife-viewing tour within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya, as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows for close-range viewing and photography.

Enjoy the game drive in search of the Big Five (rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo), including other wildlife and bird species. The driver will help you find a good, safe place to have your picnic lunch. Later, you'll continue with the game drive. Then, you'll head back to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay, with an optional Maasai village visit if you did not take part on day one.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Check out of the camp after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with a stopover for a hot lunch. You will have another stop at Lake Naivasha for optional activity of a boat ride experience to witness the hippos meters away and the African fish eagle fishing including other more bird species. Later, drive to Buraha Zenoni Hotel, check in, and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight will be catered for.

Lake Nakuru to Hell's Gate National Park

After an early breakfast, spend the morning in Lake Nakuru National Park, where you have a chance to see flamingos among other birds (about 350 species recorded). The park is also home to the black and the white rhinoceros.

The park has been established to protect endangered species, such as rhinos, and is home to colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plains antelope. The game drive lasts 3-4 hours since it is not a big park compared to others.

Later, depart for nearby Lake Naivasha, with lunch on the way. Do an optional evening boat ride to Crescent Island at an extra cost, then return for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Hell's Gate Park to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park. This is the only park that allows transport by walking and hiring a bicycle to cycle at an extra cost of $25 per person. Also, for accessing and trekking withing the gorges will attract an extra cost of $30 per person. Later, depart for Nairobi with a hot lunch on the way, arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at the city center or will be transferred to your Nairobi hotel or to the airport at an extra cost.
