On arrival in Uganda, your Trek Safaris guide will meet you at Entebbe Airport and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino trekking experience. Track these magnificent animals on foot for 1½ to 2½ hours, observing Uganda’s only wild rhinos up close. Continue to Murchison Falls, starting with the Top of the Falls, where the Nile plunges 43 meters through a rocky gorge into Lake Albert. The power, mist, and roar create a breathtaking introduction. Finish the day with a short evening game drive around the park.

Day 2

Murchison Falls National Park Game Drive and Launch Trip to the Base of the Falls

Begin the day with an early morning game drive on the Northern Bank. During the drive, your guide helps you spot diverse wildlife and bird species. The park supports over 73 mammal species. Wildlife includes elephants, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. Additionally, the park protects three quarters of the world’s Rothschild giraffe population. It also supports large populations of grazing herbivores. The park hosts over 451 bird species, including Albertine Rift endemics.

Afterwards, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. Later, at 2:00 pm, depart for an afternoon boat safari on the Victoria Nile. During the cruise, travel upstream to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the banks, observe hippos and Nile crocodiles at close range. Meanwhile, the 17-kilometer journey may reveal elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs.
Furthermore, the river corridor is rich in birdlife.

Finally, enjoy an evening game drive before returning to the lodge for overnight.

Day 3

Travel to Kibale National Park

Travel to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive southwest through the scenic Albertine Escarpment.
Enjoy rolling hills, forests, and small villages along the way. Stop mid-journey for a relaxing lunch and refreshments before continuing to Kibale National Park.

Continue the drive, admiring the lush landscapes and distant Rwenzori Mountains. If time allows, take an optional Crater Lakes walk to explore scenic lakes and forest trails. Spot birds, butterflies, and small wildlife while enjoying the tranquil crater scenery. Arrive at your lodge in Kibale in the late afternoon.

Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner while preparing for tomorrow’s chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Start the day early with breakfast at your lodge. Then depart for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest with experienced rangers. Trek along forest trails surrounded by towering trees and dense greenery. Listen for loud chimpanzee calls echoing through the forest canopy. Observe playful chimps swinging, grooming, and interacting in their natural habitat. The forest also hosts red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and over 200 bird species.

After tracking, return to the lodge for a short rest and lunch. Then begin the scenic drive southwest toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, approximately 3–4 hours. Enjoy rolling hills, farmland, and views of the Rwenzori foothills along the way.
Arrive at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon.

Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start the day early with breakfast at the lodge. Then depart for a morning game drive along Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs in open grasslands near the water. Look for hippos and Nile crocodiles along the riverbanks from the vehicle. Birdwatchers can enjoy fish eagles, kingfishers, and other wetland bird species. Alternatively, guests may opt for a boat cruise along the channel if time allows.

The boat provides closer views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birds. After wildlife viewing, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. Begin the scenic 6–7 hour drive southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing villages and rolling hills.

Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi late evening, check in, and enjoy dinner.

Day 6

After breakfast, head out to the park head offices with your guide and packed lunch for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking.

After head for gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest, trekking can take 2 hours to 6 hours basing on the location of the gentle giants.

Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

Day 7

Return to Entebbe

Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and begin the drive back to Entebbe International Airport.
Stop at the Equator in Masaka to see where the Earth’s hemispheres are divided.
Take photos, enjoy souvenirs, and sample local snacks at the Equator stop.
Continue the journey to Entebbe, enjoying scenic views along the way.
Arrive at Entebbe Airport in time for your departure flight, concluding your Uganda safari adventure.
