Day 1

Your driver-guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an hour of rhino tracking and see Uganda’s rhinos up close. Stop for lunch at Kabalega Dinner, then continue to Murchison Falls National Park accommodation to relax and prepare for the next day’s safari adventure

Experience the breathtaking Murchison Falls, one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. The park is also a birder’s paradise, with over 450 bird species, including the rare shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, and goliath heron.

Day 2

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat cruise to the Bottom of Murchison Falls

Start your day with an early breakfast, then head out to explore the northern section of Murchison Falls.
You’ll see plenty of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards, and colorful birds.

After the morning game drive, head back for lunch at your lodge to recharge for the afternoon adventure.
Then enjoy a 3-hour boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the falls. Look out for hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Once the boat ride ends, hike up to the top of Murchison Falls. The view from above is simply unforgettable.
Return to your lodge for dinner and a well-deserved overnight stay.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

After breakfast, transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a drive of about 350 kilometers. Along the way, enjoy views of rural Uganda, passing small villages, farmland, and local communities.
The drive takes you through the park’s diverse ecosystems, including grasslands, woodlands, and crater lakes.
In the evening, go on a game drive to spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

After breakfast at Pumba Safari Cottages, head to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Wander through the lush forest with an experienced guide and watch chimps in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to Pumba for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, spotting hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of birds along the riverbanks. Return to Pumba Safari Cottages in the evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay, ready for the next day’s adventure.

Day 5

After breakfast, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, traveling through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions.
The drive takes about 6–7 hours, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. There’s a roughly 70% chance of seeing the lions, though they can be elusive.

Continue to Bwindi National Park, home to about 1,000 mountain gorillas, nearly half of the world’s population. Several habituated gorilla groups can be tracked on guided treks.
Bwindi’s misty hills are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most diverse rainforests, over 25,000 years old, with nearly 400 plant species.

After the journey, check into your lodge and relax, preparing for the exciting gorilla tracking adventure the next day.

Day 6

Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, meet your ranger guide for a briefing. Then enter Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The rainforest is spectacular, with steep, dense slopes and many animal trails for trekking. The trek usually takes 2–5 hours, depending on the gorilla group’s location. Once you find a group, spend one hour observing these gentle, endangered giants. It is a thrilling, unforgettable experience.

Return to your lodge (30–60 minutes) for lunch. Then check out and drive 3–4 hours to Lake Bunyonyi. It is dotted with 29 scenic islands of various shapes and sizes. You can take a canoe ride across the calm waters, visit some of the islands, or simply relax and admire the stunning scenery. Nature lovers can enjoy birdwatching, while those interested in culture may meet the Batwa community to learn about their traditions and dances. Swimming in the lake or simply soaking in the tranquil atmosphere are also popular ways to spend the day.

Day 7

Return to Entebbe

Return to Entebbe

Have an early breakfast, then begin your return journey to Entebbe Airport. Expect stopovers for lunch and a visit to the Uganda Equator line along the way. Continue the drive and arrive at the airport in the late afternoon or evening. This marks the end of your 7-day Uganda safari tour.
