Day 2
Shoebill Quest to Mabamba Wetland
Shoebill Quest to Mabamba Wetland
Following an early breakfast, your private guide will transfer you to the Nakiwogo Jetty for about an hour ride to Mabamba Wetland where you will switch to a smaller boat and penetrate through the wetland channels looking for this prehistoric bird and many other birds. Once you find it, that’s a sight to photograph and remember for centuries. Spend about 3
hours in the swamp before returning to Entebbe for a relaxed afternoon at your hotel.

Day 3
Transfer to Kibale National Park

After an early breakfast, your private guide will collect you and set off westward towards Kibale National Park, often referred to as the primate capital of East Africa. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside, passing tea plantations, crater lakes, and rural homesteads, offering a glimpse into Uganda’s vibrant landscapes and culture.
We’ll stop en route for lunch, and continue to Kibale National Park, where you’ll check into your lodge, which is near the forest.

Day 4
Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Walk
Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Walk
Following an early morning breakfast, your private guide will transfer you to the Kanyanchu Orientation Center, where you will check in for the activity before heading out for a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale’s lush rainforests. As you trek through the dense vegetation, you’ll observe and photograph these fascinating primates in their natural habitat, watching them groom, play, and interact with one another. After your chimpanzee encounter, enjoy a relaxing lunch at the lodge before heading out for a peaceful Bigodi Wetland Walk in the afternoon. This biodiversity hotspot is home to Uganda’s special primate species, such as the Uganda Mangabey, Red-tailed Monkey, Red Colubus Monkeys, Eastern Guereza Monkey, L’hoesti’s Monkey, Blue Monkey, among other primate species that call the Kibale Forest home, and the walk provides an opportunity to learn about local conservation efforts and community engagement.

After breakfast, we begin our scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Crater Lakes region. Rolling hills and banana plantations line the journey, offering beautiful vistas and village life photography en route.
After arriving and checking in at your lodge overlooking the park, we will head out on an evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where waterbucks, kobs, elephants, and buffalo are commonly spotted as well as the chances of seeing Africa’s Big Cats backdropped by the Rwenzori Mountains. As the sun dips behind the Rwenzori Mountains, we focus on silhouette shots and dramatic light — a photo-rich end to the day.

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is known for its large herds of Uganda Kobs, which attract predators such as lions and leopards. You may also spot elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and a wide variety of savannah birds as you explore the open plains against the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. The channel is famous for its high concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as elephants and buffalo that gather along the shores. The cruise also offers excellent birdwatching, with chances to see African Fish Eagles, Kingfishers, and flocks of Pelicans.

Day 7
Transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, we check out and begin our journey south through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, an area renowned for its tree-climbing lions. As we drive across the open plains dotted with fig trees, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for these unique predators as well as large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda Kobs.
We continue the scenic drive further south, passing through rolling hills, traditional homesteads, and terraced farmland before reaching Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival, check into your lodge nestled at the edge of the forest. The rest of the evening is at leisure, giving you time to relax, enjoy the cool mountain air, and prepare for the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure awaiting you the next day.

This is the day you’ve been waiting for – a chance to stand in the presence of one of the planet’s most endangered and majestic creatures: the Mountain Gorilla. The day begins early with an energizing breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. After the briefing, you will head out to start your ultimate gorilla tracking experience at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bwindi. After minutes (and sometimes hours) of anticipation, your patience pays off as you encounter a gorilla family in their natural habitat. Watch in awe as they play, groom, and move through the forest; their sheer presence will inevitably leave you breathless. The magic of locking eyes with a silverback and an infant is a moment that words can hardly capture.
In the afternoon, we will visit a Pangolin Rescue Center to learn about Pangolin Conservation from the local who has given his life to save these remaining endangered species.

After a relaxed breakfast, we depart Bwindi and begin the drive east towards Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but one of its most diverse. The journey takes you through rolling hills, open farmland, and lively roadside markets, giving a glimpse into everyday Ugandan life.
On arrival at Lake Mburo, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch before setting out for an evening game drive. This park is home to abundant zebras, impalas, buffaloes, giraffes, and elands, along with rich birdlife. The golden-hour light across the acacia woodlands and open savannah makes this a beautiful introduction to the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning Walking Safari & Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, set out for a guided morning walking safari. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you’ll explore the savannah on foot — a unique way to encounter wildlife up close. Look out for zebras, impalas, giraffes, and an array of bird species, while learning about animal tracks, plants, and the park’s ecosystems from your guide.
After the walk, return to the lodge to freshen up and check out before beginning the scenic drive back to Entebbe. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Equator for photos and perhaps some souvenir shopping. Arriving in Entebbe in the evening, you’ll either be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay or directly to the airport for your onward flight.
