Nairobi to Tsavo East

Your safari adventure begins as you depart for the iconic Tsavo East National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through rural Kenya as you head toward one of the country’s largest and most wildlife-rich reserves. On entering Tsavo East, you will embark on your first game drive across the vast savannah plains. The park is famous for its red-dust elephants, as well as giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and numerous antelope species. With some luck, you may spot lions or cheetahs resting in the shade. A visit to the popular Aruba Dam provides excellent opportunities to observe animals gathering at the water’s edge and capture memorable photographs. Stop over for lunch. You will exit Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park, known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes and lush oases. You will visit the famous Mzima Springs to see hippos and crocodiles in crystal-clear waters, followed by a sunset game drive before check in, dinner and overnight in Tsavo West.

Tsavo West back to Nairobi

The day begins with an early morning game drive in Tsavo West, when wildlife is most active. You may spot elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and if lucky, predators returning from their night hunts. After the drive, you will visit the Rhino Sanctuary for a chance to see the rare black rhino in its protected habitat. You will then enjoy breakfast at the accommodation before checking out.

Your journey continues with a final scenic drive past the Shetani Lava Flows, showcasing the park’s dramatic volcanic landscape. After exiting the park, you will begin your return journey to your drop-off point, stopping over for lunch hence bringing your unforgettable Tsavo safari adventure to a close.
