Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through the VIP lounge and swiftly connect with our company representative, who will warmly welcome you and give you a briefing for the day’s program. You will be taken to the Genocide memorial for a short tour that provides insight into the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. From here, you will be transferred to your booked hotel in Kigali. Be assisted to check in after a moment with the driver-guide to review details of your safari plan for the days ahead, and they will allow you to settle in and relax.

Day 2

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Batwa cultural Experience

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Batwa cultural Experience

After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and drive to the Genocide Memorial for a tour. Later, you will set off to Bwindi, a route that takes you through winding roads with beautiful views of the landscape. You will arrive at your lodge in Bwindi in the afternoon, check in, have lunch, and later go for a cultural experience in the Batwa community. They will perform their traditional music, dance, and other interesting practices. Return to the lodge for dinner and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3

Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The gorilla trekking day will start with an early-morning breakfast at the lodge. You will be given packed food to carry for the trek, in case it takes longer, so you can have your lunch in the forest. Your driver-guide will transfer you to the park offices, where you will meet other visitors going for gorilla trekking. Before starting the trek, you will be briefed and assigned a gorilla family. Then ranger guides will lead you through the forest. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed to stand at a distance and watch them for an hour, then exit the forest, pick up your trekking certificates, return to the lodge briefly to pick up your bags, and set off to Lake Bunyonyi. You will have dinner and the night at your lodge near Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4

Exploring Lake Bunyonyi

Exploring Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up to a delicious breakfast, enjoy the chilly, misty morning at the lake, and later the stunning views as the fog lifts. On this day, you will go for a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. The adventure is rewarded with lovely views of the surroundings, sights of several water birds and the Virunga volcanoes at a distance.

In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge, have lunch spend the evening relaxing.

Optional activities – zipling/biking/swimming.

Day 5

Leave Kabale and return to Kigali

Leave Kabale and return to Kigali

YYou will start your morning with a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, followed by check-out and transfer to the Katuna border, where you will connect back to Rwanda. After the checks and clearing, you will cross to Rwanda, drive through the winding roads, and proceed to Kigali, where you will be dropped at the airport for your departure connection back home or to your next destination.
Depending on your departure time, you may be able to do some shopping before heading to the airport.
