Day 1

After an early pick-up from your Arusha hotel or the airport, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich wildlife. Early in the morning, you will depart from the lodge and drive to the remote Lake Eyasi region, home to the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and the Datoga pastoralists. Spend the morning engaging in an authentic cultural experience with the Hadzabe community, learning about their traditional hunting techniques, use of handmade tools, survival skills, and daily way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries. You will then visit the Datoga tribe, renowned for their remarkable metalwork and traditional blacksmithing practices, where you will observe how they craft tools and ornaments using age-old methods. Around midday, explore the unique landscapes surrounding Lake Eyasi and enjoy meaningful local interactions before returning in the evening to Ngorongoro Farm House for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay amid the peaceful highland setting.
