Marangu gate-Mandara Hut

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a morning drive from Moshi or Arusha to Marangu Gate, where you complete park registration and meet your mountain crew. The well-defined trail gradually ascends to Mandara Hut, located in a forest clearing. In the afternoon, you may take a short acclimatization walk to the Maundi Crater, offering the first views of Kibo Peak. Dinner and overnight at Mandara Hut.

Mandara-Horombo Huts

Start the summit climb around midnight, ascending to Gilman’s Point and then Uhuru Peak to enjoy breathtaking sunrise views above the clouds. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.

Acclimitazation in Horombo

Spend the day acclimatizing with a short hike to Zebra Rocks or Mawenzi Ridge. These walks help your body adjust to altitude while offering excellent scenery before returning to Horombo Hut for rest You will have Dinner and overnight In Horombo huts.

Horombo hut -Kibo Hut

Cross the alpine desert between Mawenzi and Kibo, where vegetation becomes sparse and the air thinner. The rocky landscape leads to Kibo Hut, where you rest early, freshen up, relaxation have dinner and prepare for the midnight summit attempt.

Move from Kibo Hut-via Uhuru Peak-Horombo hut

Start the summit climb around midnight, ascending slowly to Gilman’s Point and then onward to Uhuru Peak to enjoy stunning sunrise views above the clouds. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.
