Participants meet their Safari 62 Limited driver-guide in Entebbe and depart early for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey passes through central and western Uganda, offering views of rural communities, farmland, and changing landscapes. A lunch stop is made en route. Arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park is in the afternoon, followed by check-in at the lodge and time to relax after the long drive. This shared travel day allows group members to get acquainted before the safari activities begin.

Day 2

The day begins with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, when wildlife is most active. The group searches for elephants, buffalo, lions, antelope, warthogs, and a wide variety of bird species. After breakfast and rest at the lodge, the group enjoys an afternoon boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a highlight of the park known for its dense concentration of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and animals gathering along the water’s edge.

Day 3
Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, the group departs Queen Elizabeth National Park and travels south toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive passes through the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions (sightings depend on wildlife movement). Lunch is taken en route. Arrival in Bwindi is in the afternoon, followed by check-in at the lodge and a briefing about the next day’s gorilla trekking experience, including park rules and safety guidelines.

Day 4
Gorilla Trekking Experience
Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, the group transfers to the Bwindi park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Participants are assigned to a gorilla family and begin the trek through the forest accompanied by rangers and trackers. The trek can take between 2 and 6 hours depending on gorilla location. Once found, the group spends up to one hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat before returning to the lodge for rest and relaxation.

Day 5
Bwindi – Entebbe & Departure

Following breakfast, the group begins the return journey to Entebbe, traveling through southwestern and central Uganda with planned stops along the way for rest and refreshments. Arrival in Entebbe is in the late afternoon or evening, where participants are dropped off at Entebbe International Airport or a central location, marking the end of the shared budget group safari.
