After an early morning pickup in Entebbe, you begin the scenic drive southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The journey passes through rural towns, farmland, rolling hills, and changing landscapes, offering insight into daily life in Uganda. A lunch stop is made along the way before continuing toward the forested highlands of Bwindi. Arrival is in the late afternoon, followed by check-in at your lodge. Your driver-guide briefs you on the next day’s gorilla trekking experience, park rules, and safety guidelines to ensure you are well prepared.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking Experience & Return
Gorilla Trekking Experience & Return
After an early breakfast, you transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You are assigned a gorilla family and begin the trek through the dense forest accompanied by rangers and trackers. The trek can take between two and six hours depending on gorilla location and terrain. Once the gorillas are found, you spend up to one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, you begin the return journey toward Entebbe, with scenic stops along the way.
