Day 1

On this day at 7:00am you will be picked up from your hotel or residence in Entebbe and be transferred to the boat at the shores of lake victoria to start the drip
This full-day excursion takes you to Ngamba Island, a world-renowned sanctuary that provides a safe home for orphaned chimpanzees rescued from illegal wildlife trade and habitat destruction. The tour begins with a scenic boat ride across Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake, leading to an immersive experience with the island’s chimpanzees.

Take a boat cruise out on Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and have a chance to view chimpanzees feeding. You will also be treated to sights of monitor lizards, birds, and photographic opportunities. We arrange half- and full-day trips, and boats leave at 9:00am or 12:45pm.

Morning viewing between 9.00am – 1.00pm
Afternoon viewing 12.45pm – 5.00pm

The speedboat takes approximately 45 minutes from Entebbe to the island.
Drop off will be at your hotel.
