Depart from Addis Ababa and drive to Awash National Park, renowned for its woodlands, grasslands along the Awash River, and stunning waterfalls. Upon arrival, visit the famous Awash Falls and embark on a game drive to observe wildlife such as oryx, kudu, gazelles, olive baboons, and warthogs. Birdwatchers will enjoy spotting a wide variety of local species, and there’s a chance to see wild hyenas. Explore the Awash Gorge for breathtaking scenery, then relax at the natural hot springs, the palm tree oasis, or swim in the nearby lake.

Awash National Park – Addis Ababa via Debre Zeit

Start the morning with an early breakfast followed by another game drive, focusing on bird and wildlife spotting. Species to look for include bustards, weavers, hoopoes, colobus monkeys, gazelles, dik-diks, and jackals.

In the afternoon, drive back to Addis Ababa. Stop at Debre Zeit (Bishoftu) to visit Lake Hora, take a leisurely walk along the lakeshore, and explore the site where the annual Irreecha Festival is celebrated around October 3rd, attracting thousands of visitors. After enjoying the peaceful lake and surrounding scenery, continue your journey back to Addis Ababa, concluding the tour.
