After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (about 2.5 hours). Named after the Tarangire River—its lifeline in the dry season—this park is famous for large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. You may also spot giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators such as lions and elusive leopards. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing along the way. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable safari inside one of Africa’s most spectacular natural arenas. The crater floor hosts a rich mix of grasslands, swamps, and lakes—and supports large herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and elephant. With luck, you may spot the endangered black rhino and other predators including lions, hyenas, and sometimes cheetahs. After your crater game drive and picnic lunch, ascend and continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
