Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Colours Africa Tours and Safaris and transferred to your lodge in Arusha.

Arusha is known as the safari capital of Tanzania and serves as the gateway to the country's most famous national parks. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, enjoy the beautiful gardens, or explore the city at your leisure.

Your guide will provide a safari briefing, ensuring you are fully prepared for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2

Today is dedicated to exploring one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations. After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

The crater floor supports a remarkable variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, hippos, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool while surrounded by the crater's stunning scenery.

Following your game drive, ascend from the crater and return to Arusha for an overnight stay.

Today marks the highlight of your Rwanda adventure.

After an early breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park, located in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains. Upon arrival, receive a briefing from park rangers regarding gorilla trekking procedures and conservation efforts.

Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, begin your trek through lush forests, bamboo-covered slopes, and volcanic terrain in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families.

The trek can take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the gorillas' location. Once found, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants as they interact, feed, play, and care for their young.

This rare wildlife encounter is considered one of the most extraordinary experiences in Africa.

After the trek, receive your gorilla trekking certificate before returning to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey.
