Mombasa to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Mombasa. You will then drive along the scenic Mombasa–Nairobi Highway to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.

Upon arrival mid-morning, enjoy an en route game drive, offering excellent opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and a variety of predators roaming the sanctuary.

You will check in at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, famously built on stilts overlooking a bustling waterhole. After lunch at the lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive to explore the sanctuary’s rolling hills and lush woodlands.

In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner, where you may encounter nocturnal wildlife in their natural habitat. Spend the night at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, surrounded by the unforgettable sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary to Tsavo East National Park

Begin your morning with an early sunrise game drive, the perfect time to catch predators on the move and witness wildlife awakening to a new day. After the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and set off toward Tsavo East National Park. Enjoy a scenic journey through changing landscapes before entering the park through Voi Gate.

As you make your way to Ashnil Aruba lodge, your overnight accommodation, enjoy an en route game drive across Tsavo East’s expansive plains, famous for its red-soil elephants and iconic attractions such as Aruba Dam, a major wildlife hotspot.

You will arrive at the camp in time for lunch, followed by a short rest. Later in the afternoon, head out for another exciting game drive, exploring the rugged wilderness in search of lions, cheetahs, zebras, and other wildlife as the sun dips below the horizon. Return to camp for dinner and spend the night immersed in the peaceful sounds of the African bush.
