3-Day Tsavo East & Amboseli Safari from Mombasa

Mombasa to Tsavo East via Bachuma gate

You will be picked up from your hotel in Mombasa at around 08:30 hrs and drive inland along the Mombasa Road toward Tsavo East National Park, a journey of approximately three hours. Enter the park through Bachuma Gate, where wildlife viewing begins immediately across Tsavo’s open plains and seasonal riverbeds.

Arrive at Voi Wildlife Lodge, located right on the border of Tsavo East National Park and just five minutes from Voi Gate, for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive exploring Tsavo East, renowned for its red elephants, vast savannahs, and some of Kenya’s remaining large tuskers. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart Voi at around 08:00 hrs and drive toward Amboseli National Park, arriving before midday. Check in at Olemaiyan Amboseli, enjoy lunch, and take time to relax before your afternoon safari.

February is an excellent dry-season month in Amboseli, when wildlife concentrates around the southern marshlands, permanently fed by underground water from Mount Kilimanjaro. These conditions create exceptional game-viewing opportunities.

The afternoon game drive focuses on these wildlife-rich areas, with chances to see large herds of Amboseli’s iconic elephants, lions, cheetahs, and plains game, often framed by Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to camp around sunset.

Amboseli – Morning Game Drive & Return to Mombasa

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Amboseli, taking advantage of peak wildlife activity and soft sunrise light. Return to camp by mid-morning for breakfast and check-out.

Begin the drive back to Mombasa, with a lunch stop in Voi before continuing to the coast. Arrival in Mombasa is expected in the late evening, with drop-off at your hotel.
