At Lusaka International Airport, you will be met and assisted with boarding a scheduled domestic flight to Mfuwe. The scenic flight offers aerial views of Zambia’s vast countryside before landing at Mfuwe Airport. On arrival, guests are warmly welcomed by their lodge guide and transferred to Thornicroft Lodge, situated just outside the entrance to South Luangwa National Park. The drive to the lodge is a wonderful introduction to the region, passing through traditional villages, open floodplains, and riverine landscapes, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as monkeys, baboons, antelope, and a variety of birdlife along the way.
