Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha (about 2–3 hours). Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, home to hippos and rich birdlife. This is followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island, a small crescent-shaped island that forms part of an ancient volcanic crater rim that emerged from the lake floor. The island supports a significant population of wildlife, especially herbivores such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelope, and offers a rare opportunity to walk safely among animals.

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve and is home to the Big Five, with only the rhino rarely seen due to its highly protected and limited population. The reserve is famous for its open savannahs, high predator density, and year-round wildlife sightings.

Arrive at your lodge for lunch and rest. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a sunset game drive across the plains.
