Day 1

Your journey begins early with a morning flight from Entebbe or Kajjansi Airstrip to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip, the gateways to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival, you are met by your driver-guide for a short transfer to the park headquarters, where you gather for a ranger briefing. At 8:00 AM, the trek begins. Trails wind through misty rainforest alive with birds and primates, leading you to a gorilla family after two to six hours of hiking. Once found, you spend one magical hour observing them watching silverbacks, playful juveniles, and nurturing mothers.
By early afternoon, you return to the trailhead and enjoy a packed lunch surrounded by nature. Depending on timing, you may take a short scenic cultural walk around Bwindi’s lush landscapes. Later in the afternoon, you transfer back to the airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. As you soar over Uganda’s dramatic terrain, you share stories and savor the day’s unforgettable memories.
