Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving north through scenic countryside, pineapple plantations, and the rugged landscapes of central Kenya. You will arrive in Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at your selected lodge or camp. After some time to relax and enjoy the views along the Ewaso Nyiro River, head out for an afternoon game drive. Samburu is home to unique wildlife species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx, often referred to as the Samburu Special Five. As the sun sets, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Explore the reserve’s dramatic semi arid landscape dotted with acacia trees and riverine forests, offering excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a wide variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest during the hotter hours of the day. Later in the afternoon, enjoy another game drive along the riverbanks where animals gather to drink. As dusk approaches, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight, reflecting on a day filled with remarkable wildlife encounters.
