Day 1

Harare

Meet & Greet at Harare International Airport by your guide followed by a briefing of your itinerary. From the airport your will drive into Harare town centre before heading to Amanzi Lodge for your first night. Depending on your arrival flight time, your guide will take you on a short, guided Harare City Tour visiting downtown Harare, historical buildings like the Parliament, The High Court, various churches and old shops ending at the Harare Kopje, the highest point of Harare with 360 degrees views of the city. Time permitting you will also visit Mbare Musika with its huge vegetable market and the big hall with curios’ and Doone Estate with Chapungu Sculptures and various shops for souvenirs.

Day 2-4

Mana Pools

Transfer back to Harare International Airport where your guide will check you in for your charter flight to Mana Pools. Take a scenic flight over Harare and western Zimbabwe landing at Mana Pools Main Airstrip where your lodge guide from Camp Zambezi will be waiting to meet you. From the airstrip take a game drive transfer to Camp Zambezi where you will spend the next 3 nights. At Camp Zambezi, games drives are in open 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers. Walking to explore and learn about the area, with your armed Professional Guide it is the best way to experience the incredible diversity of animals, insects and flora at Mana Pools. Mana Pools can provide some amazing experiences. For close encounters with game. Canoeing is done in 5.5m (18ft) Canadian style canoes, fitted with comfortable seats and cushions. Fishing is also a popular activity from Camp Zambezi particularly towards the end of the dry season – Sept/Oct - when the tiger fish are biting (equipment not supplied).

Day 5-6

Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park

Depart Mana Pools and fly to Hwange Airport where you will be met by your lodge guide from Ivory Safari Lodge. Spend two nights exploring Hwange and going on BIG GAME drives. Ivory Lodge is set on its own 6000-acre conservancy bordering Hwange National Park which is the largest National Park in Zimbabwe. Ivory Lodge is built in the treetops of giant teak forests – diverse habitats attract a variety of wildlife and bird life. This camp offers personal attention to a maximum of 20 guests in 7 standard treehouses, of which one is a family unit, and 2 tented suites. The elevated en-suite rooms are positioned with sweeping views of the waterhole that is floodlit by night. Ivory Lodge also has a hide next to a waterhole where a heightened wildlife experience is within a stone’s throw away. Activities on offer are walking and game drives in both the concession and Game Park. Night drives in the concession can also be arranged on request.

Day 7-8

Victoria Falls

Take a private guided road transfer from Ivory Lodge to Victoria Falls arriving around lunch time. Check in, have lunch and spend the early afternoon relaxing by the pool or taking a walk around town before you are picked up for a Zambezi River Sunset & Dinner Cruise.

The next full day includes a guided walk in the Victoria Falls Rainforest, lunch at The Lookout Restaurant overlooking the Batoka Gorge, a choice of ONE activity between a 15-minute helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls, Elephant Encounter Safari OR A Lion & Cheetah walking safari. End the day at The Boma Restaurant for a boma dinner & drum show.
