Day 1

Early in the morning, the driver will pick you up from the airport and brief you before heading out to Murchison Falls which is in the northern part of Uganda. Along the way, you will make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda.

You'll have a complete feel of the African Big Five mammals, as it is the rhinos, out of the Big Five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park. Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have lunch at the sanctuary and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and embark on an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls, arriving in the evening. After checking in at the lodge, your safari guide will lead you for the game drive in Murchison Falls National Park on the lookout for the like lions, hyenas, and leopards among others. Proceed back to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2

Morning game drive, boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls

After an early morning warm-up tea, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like lions, giraffes, oribis, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, and buffaloes among other animals and bird species. You will then return to the lodge in time for lunch and relax preparing for yet an exciting activity in the afternoon. After lunch, transfer for a 3-hour boat ride on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls.

Here you will have the opportunity to view animals such as crocodiles, and hippos, in the water and some on the riverbanks. Buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants are often seen on the riverbank grazing and drinking water. You will then have to hike to the top of the falls for a clear view of the falls. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

On this day, you will set off for the world renowned Queen Elizabeth National Park, embarking on a scenic road trip that captures the very essence of Uganda’s countryside. As you journey, enjoy a delicious lunch en route while soaking in the ever changing landscapes.

The drive will take you through charming African villages nestled among rolling green hills, past endless tea plantations shimmering in the sunlight, and banana plantations that stretch across the horizon. Along the way, you’ll witness authentic African homesteads, offering a glimpse into the daily lives and traditions of local communities. The road itself is an adventure, alive with color, culture, and breathtaking scenery. By late evening, you will arrive at your lodge, where the warm hospitality of the staff welcomes you. After an early morning breakfast, you will set out for an unforgettable adventure with a guided chimpanzee trekking experience in the lush Kalinzu Forest. Before the trek begins, you will receive a detailed briefing ensuring both your safety and the protection of these incredible primates. With your guide leading the way, you will embark on a forest hike through towering trees and thick vegetation, listening to the calls of birds and rustling leaves as you search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Watching them swing through branches, groom one another, or forage for food is a truly magical encounter. In the afternoon, your journey continues with a thrilling launch cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. As the boat glides across the waters, you will marvel at large herds of elephants, pods of hippos, buffalos cooling by the banks, and crocodiles basking in the sun. The channel is also a paradise for bird lovers, with countless species including the rare shoebill stork.

Day 5

You'll transfer through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi, this area is known for its tree climbing lions. In Ishasha, we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with Topis and African elephants, and you'll hopefully get the lions high in the fig tree branches. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue with the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savanna, via cultivated hills to jungle covered mountains.

Day 6

Have an early morning breakfast and have a short drive to the briefing point. Enjoy the biggest highlight of this tour, Gorilla trekking may last for about 3 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family you’re assigned to visit. You will trek through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, escorted by the ranger guide and other guest trackers, on the lookout for the mountain gorillas.

The trekking can sometimes be hard and long, but as soon as you catch a glimpse of the beautiful silverback, any discomforts will be forgotten. As a result of the nature of the activity, you will eat packed lunch in the forest. Later retire to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, go for the Batwa community walk where you will visit the local people, Batwa pygmies are an indigenous group of people who have lived in this forest for many years, and enjoy traditional dances from. Transfer lake Bunyonyi. Your dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the boat ride to the mainland. You will later get set to Kampala with a stopover along the way for lunch and at the Equator to take photographs and purchase some souvenirs. After your lunch, you will continue to Kampala or Entebbe Airport.
