On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our Safaris staff who will brief you. This is a long day drive of approximately 9hours with a lunch stopover en route.
Though long, the drive takes you through different features including tropical rain forests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival in Bwindi, we shall check in at the lodge and proceed to the Batwa community for the cultural adventure about these forest pygmies. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure as you wait for the next day’s adventure. Meal Plan: Lunch and dinner.

Day 2
Gorrilla trekking and transfer to lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, head for a briefing where we'll meet the excellent local guides and trackers who give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We'll then hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there. Trekking may take anything between 1.5 to 6 hours depending on the location of the family.
The terrain is rough and muddy calling for physical fitness. Although the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. It is recommended that you take plenty of water with you on the trek. Cameras and plenty of fast speed films are recommended. Being a tropical rain forest, it may rain at no notice, hence need to bring with you waterproof clothing, including zip lock bags for cameras and film. Others to come with include strong walking shoes, long pants, gloves, and a raincoat. Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will go for bird watching around the lake where several species of birds can be spotted, Later we shall check out and start on the journey back to entebbe carrying with you the unforgettable memory of encountering the great rare mountain apes in their natural habitat. The journey offers time to reflect on the remarkable experiences of your safari as you traverse Uganda’s diverse landscapes. Along the way, you will enjoy lunch en route, a welcome pause to refresh before continuing the drive and a stopover at the equator line, where you will engage in fascinating experimentation and photo opportunities, marking the unique point where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. After this memorable stop, the journey continues toward Entebbe. You will arrive late in the evening, with your driver dropping you off at your hotel or the airport.
