Nairobi To Ruma NP in Homa Bay

Day one begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling west toward Ruma National Park in Homa Bay County. Enjoy scenic views of the Rift Valley, farmlands, and Lake Victoria basin along the way. Arrive at Ruma National Park in the afternoon for check-in and a game drive, where you may spot roan antelopes, Rothschild’s giraffes, and diverse birdlife. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge or camp near the park.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time, you will check out late in the morning and drive to Rusinga Island, arriving in the afternoon for check-in and relaxation by the shores of Lake Victoria.

In the late afternoon or early evening, depart Rusinga Island for Nairobi either by road or via a nearby airstrip, bringing your Western Kenya safari adventure to a memorable close.
