Nairobi to Masai Mara

At 8 am, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel (airport pick-up is at 6:30 am) and commence the drive to the Masai Mara. You will pass via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will have a stopover of 10 -15 minutes to view the Rift Valley. Lunch will be at the camp in the Masai Mara. After you check in, depart for a sunset game-viewing drive in the Mara Reserve (4 to 6 pm). Return to the camp for a buffet dinner, then rest at the camp (Rhino Tourist Camp) or a similar facility. The tents have a toilet, a shower, a bed, linen and mosquito nets. Electricity is provided from 6 pm to 10 pm and from 6 am to 8 am.

The Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley, in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s Western escarpment.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

At around 7 am, after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring the Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. The phenomenal wildebeest migration, a spectacular event seen only in the Maasai Mara, is the Seventh Wonder of the World. At midday, you will have a picnic lunch in the park, which we will provide. You will visit the site of the annual wildebeest migration and see resident crocodiles and hippos along the banks of the Mara River, then continue with a game drive in the Mara Reserve.

Depart Masai Mara to Nairobi

Have an early breakfast, then check out for your drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy a brief stop at the Maasai Village for a cultural encounter on your way. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people as you head out of the Masai Mara. Thereafter, commence your drive to Nairobi. A simple complimentary lunch will be provided on the way in a traveller’s motel. On arrival, you will be dropped off at your Nairobi Hotel.

This marks the end of the tour.
