Day 1

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or pickup from your hotel, you will be welcomed by your professional Leone Tours & Travel driver-guide, who will brief you about your safari before starting the journey.

You will transfer to Mabamba Wetland Sanctuary, located along the northern shores of Lake Victoria. This internationally recognized birding area is known for its calm papyrus channels and abundant birdlife. Using a small motorized canoe, you will quietly navigate through the swamp accompanied by an experienced local guide who helps track the elusive Shoebill Stork, one of Africa’s most sought-after birds.

The peaceful ride also offers opportunities to see kingfishers, herons, jacanas, fish eagles, and other wetland species while enjoying the natural beauty of the lake ecosystem.

After the excursion, you will return to Entebbe for lunch, dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay.

Day 2

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, you will begin the drive northwards through Uganda’s countryside toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild.

At the sanctuary, you will join trained rangers for a guided walking safari through the bush. Tracking rhinos on foot offers a rare and intimate wildlife experience as you approach these magnificent animals safely while learning about the conservation efforts that have helped reintroduce them to Uganda.

Following the trek, you will continue the journey to Masindi town for lunch before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive into the park reveals changing scenery from woodland to open savannah dotted with wildlife.

Before heading to your lodge, you will visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow 7-meter rock gap and plunges down with tremendous power. The sound, mist, and views of the cascading water create an unforgettable natural spectacle.

Day 3

Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the River Nile

This day is dedicated to exploring Murchison Falls National Park, known for its rich concentration of wildlife and expansive landscapes.

after breakfasat, you will set out early for a morning game drive across the northern sector of the park, when animals are most active. The open savannah provides excellent opportunities to observe large herds of elephants and buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, antelopes, and predators such as lions. Your guide will drive slowly through different tracks, interpreting animal behavior and helping you spot wildlife hidden within the grasslands.

After returning to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation, you will head to the riverbank for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile. This relaxing water safari offers a completely different perspective of the park. As the boat moves upstream toward the base of the falls, you will see hippos submerged in the water, crocodiles basking along the shores, elephants drinking at the banks, and a variety of birdlife.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will check out and drive back to Entebbe, enjoying scenic views of Uganda’s countryside along the way. Optional stops may be made at local markets. Upon arrival in entebbe, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your safari.
