Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be collected from your accommodation in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park, located in the Manyara region. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through the area and serves as a vital water source for wildlife.
Tarangire National Park is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania, covering approximately 2,600 square kilometers. It is renowned for its large herds of elephants and diverse landscapes. Although the park is generally drier than the Serengeti, its vegetation remains remarkably lush, featuring expansive grasslands, mixed acacia woodlands, and striking ribbons of riverine forest. The park is also home to iconic giant baobab trees, some of which are estimated to be over 600 years old and capable of storing between 300 and 900 liters of water.

Day 3

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart from Karatu and travel to Serengeti National Park. The name “Serengeti” is derived from the Maa language of the Maasai people, meaning “endless plains.” You are expected to arrive in the Serengeti by late afternoon or early evening.
Serengeti National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania and is renowned for its vast, diverse landscapes, including open grasslands, savannahs, swamps, lakes, and mountainous areas. It is also home to the world-famous wildebeest and zebra migration. Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals as they move in search of food and water.
After an extensive game drive, you will proceed to Poripori Lodge & Camps, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early morning coffee, you will set out for a game drive in the Serengeti. During this experience, you may have the opportunity to spot the renowned “Big Five” lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard before continuing your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildlife roams freely across the unfenced reserves, providing an uninterrupted and authentic game-viewing experience.
Upon arrival at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will enjoy your first glimpse of the remarkable landscape that awaits you the following day, featuring sparkling streams, open grasslands, and an abundance of wildlife. After the day’s activities, you will return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Early risers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the sunrise over the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. After a hearty breakfast, you will descend via the adventurous access road into the crater floor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of Africa and is among the most extraordinary ecosystems on Earth. Formed millions of years ago following the collapse of a massive volcanic eruption, the crater is approximately 610 meters deep and covers an area of about 260 square kilometers.
The Ngorongoro Crater offers some of the finest game viewing in Tanzania. Within a short time, you may encounter wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and more than 500 species of birds. With a bit of luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhinoceros moving through the grasslands.
After lunch, you will ascend the crater’s steep walls and continue your journey to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation or transferred to the airport.
