Day 1
Drive Into the Misty Highlands of Bwindi
Drive Into the Misty Highlands of Bwindi
Your adventure begins early at 6:00am with a scenic drive from Entebbe (at your residence or the airport) toward southwestern Uganda, 8 to 11 hours. As the city fades, rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages welcome you into the countryside.
You’ll stop along the way for lunch and short breaks before entering the legendary Bwindi forest: ancient, dense, and alive with sound. Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge near the park, enjoy dinner, and settle in for a restful night surrounded by nature.
Imagine a world unchanged for 25,000 years. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a misty, emerald sanctuary and a UNESCO World Heritage site that protects nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Here, you’ll trek through ancient ferns to find yourself just feet away from the gorillas: a profound, life-altering connection with our closest relatives. It is more than a hike!

Day 2
A Life-Changing Hour with Mountain Gorillas & Sunset at Lake Bunyonyi
A Life-Changing Hour with Mountain Gorillas & Sunset at Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trek. Accompanied by expert guides, you’ll hike into the forest, following fresh signs until you’re face to face with a gorilla family (can take 2–6 hours).
The hour spent with them is quiet, emotional, and deeply humbling. Many travelers describe this moment as life-changing.
After the trek, return to the lodge to freshen up and have lunch, then drive to Lake Bunyonyi. The pace shifts as you arrive at one of Uganda’s most peaceful landscapes: terraced hills, small islands, and cool evening air.
If timing and energy allow, enjoy an optional sunset canoeing experience (30–60 minutes): a gentle paddle across calm waters as the hills glow in the evening light.

Day 3
Peaceful Canoes, Island Stories & the Journey Home
Peaceful Canoes, Island Stories & the Journey Home
Wake up to birdsong and mist drifting over the lake. If canoeing was not done the previous evening, enjoy an optional early-morning canoe ride (7:00–8:00 am), when the lake is at its most peaceful, gliding quietly between islands as your guide shares stories of local life and history. It’s calm, reflective, and the perfect contrast to the forest adventure.
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive back to Entebbe (at your residence or the airport) 9-10 hours, with lunch and stops along the way. Arrival is around 8pm, closing the wonderful journey.
(If you're traveling back home that night, we recommend not booking your flight before mid night, to avoid risking your ticket due to unforeseen circumstances like road conditions or traffic).
