Day 1

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by a Likyadi Adventures guide and start your 4 to 5 hours journey to Murchison Falls National Park in Masindi in Western Uganda. You will have a first stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakansongola where you will have an hour on-foot rhino tracking experience. After the rhino tracking experience you will proceed to Masindi for lunch before proceeding to visit the top of Murchison Falls the powerful falls where the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the Devil’s Cauldron creating a trademark rainbow. From the falls you will continue in the park for an evening game drive where you will have a chance to see different animals such as buffaloes, giraffes, water bucks, oribis, lions, bush bucks, warthogs, Elephants among others. After the game drive you will proceed to check in at the lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay at the lodge.

Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am and head into the park and look out for view the different mammals such as elephants, lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes like Uganda kob, waterbucks, bushbucks. You will have time to relax for lunch and after join the boat cruise to take you to the bottom of Murchison falls as you spot aquatic wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, and water birds. On return Catch up with another evening game drive and a sunset view before dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

After your morning breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the rolling plains of Fort Portal. You will have a lunch break in Fort Portal City and after you will continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in the afternoon where you will check in and relax.

In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth as you will have an opportunity to see different animals including the Big cats such as Lions, Leopards, Waterbucks, Uganda kobs, warthogs, Elephants, Buffaloes, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After your morning breakfast, you will head to the Kyambura Gorge where you will embark a Chimpanzee Trekking experience in the gorge. During this trek you will have an opportunity to see other primates species and many bird species. You will spend one(1) hour with the chimpanzees after finding a group. After you will return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch at the lodge, you will go for a 2-hour boat cruise trip on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, buffaloes, elephants and crocodiles among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am to the rolling plains of Uganda’s second largest National Park and look out for: lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda Kobs, and elephants. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive.

After the game drive, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying the scenic views of the country side. You will have a lunch stop where you will have hot lunch and you will continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive at the lodge where you will check in to the lodge.

After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to UWA visitor’s reception where briefing is done before trekking at 7:30am about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla trekking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during trekking and these are readily available at the park headquarters. Time allowed to spend with gorillas is 1 hour when you have found them and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. After the trekking exercise, you will be awarded a certificate for the successful gorilla trekking experience.

You will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxing. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7

After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge at Lake Bunyonyi and you will transfer to Entebbe International Airport. Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that show that earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and you will have a chance to enjoy both the hemispheres as you will take so many pictures of the beautiful moments. You will have an en-route lunch and you continue your journey to Entebbe International Airport. Do not forget to purchase a souvenir for yourself as a remembrance for this wonderful trip.
