Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive across the crater floor with excellent chances of spotting the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino - as well as large herds of wildebeest and zebras, hippos in the pools, hyenas, jackals, and a variety of birdlife including flamingos along Lake Magadi.
