Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a gentle introduction to Madagascar’s capital, a city of layered hills, stairways, markets, and historic architecture. The Upper Town offers panoramic views and excellent opportunities for cultural and street photography, particularly at sunset.

Fly to Fort Dauphin – Berenty Reserve
Fly to Fort Dauphin – Berenty Reserve
This morning you fly south to Fort Dauphin (Taolagnaro), where dramatic mountains meet the Indian Ocean. From here, continue by road to the iconic Berenty Reserve, a private reserve set along the Mandrare River.
The landscape shifts dramatically to the unique spiny forest ecosystem—one of Madagascar’s most photogenic and endemic-rich habitats. Late afternoon light offers superb photographic conditions among baobabs and tamarind trees.

Berenty Reserve
A full day dedicated to photography in Berenty. The reserve is renowned for its habituated ring-tailed lemurs and Verreaux’s sifakas, often seen “dancing” across the ground—an extraordinary subject for wildlife photography.
Morning and late afternoon sessions provide ideal lighting conditions. Birdlife, reptiles, and the distinctive southern flora add to the visual diversity of this remarkable reserve.

Day 4
Berenty to Fort Dauphin
Berenty to Fort Dauphin
After a final morning shoot, return to Fort Dauphin. En route, capture scenes of rural Malagasy life and striking southern landscapes. If time permits, enjoy coastal photography around Fort Dauphin’s beaches and mountains. Overnight at Talinjoo Hotel or similar.

Fly to Antananarivo-Drive to Andasibe
Fly back to Antananarivo and immediately continue east to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, a lush rainforest region famous for its biodiversity.
In the evening, enjoy a guided night walk to photograph nocturnal species such as mouse lemurs, chameleons, and tree frogs. Low-light photography techniques are particularly rewarding here.

Two full days exploring the primary rainforest of Andasibe and Mantadia. Early morning excursions maximize chances to photograph the Indri, the largest living lemur species, known for its powerful calls echoing through the forest.
Mantadia National Park offers more pristine forest and dynamic terrain, ideal for capturing diademed sifakas, bamboo lemurs, vibrant chameleons, and endemic birds. The rainforest atmosphere—mist, filtered light, and layered vegetation—creates stunning photographic compositions.

After a relaxed morning, return to Antananarivo, en route stop at Peryeras Reptiles park for more chameleons and other reptiles photos. The afternoon may be used for cultural photography, artisan markets, or city panoramas.

Fly west to Morondava and continue by road to Kirindy Forest, a dry deciduous forest renowned for its unique wildlife.

Landing at Seychelles International Airport on Mahé Island, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your beachfront resort.
