Day 2

After breakfast, you will meet our representative, who will provide an introduction and overview of your Tanzanian safari adventure. Then, you will set off for Tarangire National Park, which spans over 2,600 square kilometers (1,000 square miles) and ranks as Tanzania’s sixth-largest park. Tarangire is famous for its impressive elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and elusive tree-climbing pythons. Following a delicious lunch at the lodge, enjoy your first afternoon game drive, immersing yourself in the wonders of African wildlife. In the evening, you will return to the lodge to relax and reflect on your exciting day.

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Home to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural wonder is framed by cliffs rising 600 meters (2,000 feet) above the crater floor, which spans approximately 246 square kilometers (95 square miles). Within this unique ecosystem, vast herds of zebra and wildebeest roam alongside elephants, lions, and if fortune smiles upon you the rare and nearly extinct black rhino. In the evening, continue to your crater rim camp for dinner and an overnight stay, soaking in the spectacular views.
